Coco claimed the #1 position at the box office for its third weekend in a row. Disney and Pixar's animated feature has now grossed an estimated $390 million worldwide. The Disaster Artist managed to make it into the top ten, at number 4, despite being shown at only 840 theaters with an estimated $6.4 million. The only new release, the abysmal looking Just Getting Started, barely cracked the top ten with a paltry $3.2 million. Just Getting Started will quickly be forgotten.
Next week sees the release of The House of Mouse's highly anticipated cash cow Star Wars: The Last Jedi to 4100 theaters and seeks to claim a box office opening of $200 million for its first weekend. Also being released, and trying not to be forgotten, is Fox's animated film, Ferdinand. Ferdinand and everything else at the box office won't stand a chance.
