Thor: Ragnarok ravaged the competition with an estimated $122.74 million. The well reviewed third film in the Thor series (and 17th film in the Marvel Cinematic universe) will try to top fellow 2017 Marvel releases Spider-Man: Homecoming and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Homecoming and Guardians have both topped $850 million worldwide so far. Thor will likely continue its dominance next week, with the middling releases of Daddy's Home 2 and Murder on The Orient Express.
The only other newcomer to crack the top ten was A Bad Moms Christmas at $17.03 million. The entire rest of the top ten didn't even total half of what Thor: Ragnarok made. Damn.
