Justice League claimed the top spot this past weekend but couldn't muster over a $100 million dollars at the box office. In the process, Justice League owns the dubious title of having the lowest grossing opening weekend of any of the DC cinematic universe films. Having said all that, the film still grossed an estimated $93.84 million and has grossed an estimated $278 million worldwide.
Wonder claimed the #2 spot at the box office with an estimated $27.55 million, while the animated Christian feature, The Star, claimed the #6 spot with an estimated $9.81 million. Next week sees the release of Pixar's guaranteed smash hit Coco and the wide release of Denzel Washington character study Roman J. Israel, Esq. Coco will likely knock Justice League out of the top spot and deliver big for The House of Mouse.
